One thing I think is unique and interesting about the supermarkets in Sweden (aside from the organic produce being almost the same price as regular produce) is that they give you free bananas to give to your child while you are shopping.  Crazy, right?!

Here’s how it works: you go shopping with your child, and they don’t really enjoy sitting there.  So, while you are in the fruit section, you find the bucket of free bananas and grab one for your kid to munch on while you continue shopping.  Cool concept, right?  I think this probably makes the shopping experience much better for the parents and children, but also everyone else there as well 😉
